  • What's an Earliest Booking Time?

It’s just our more fun way of saying “Tuesday at 2:45pm” or “Wednesday at 11:00am.” But really, it’s just what it sounds like! Your Earliest Booking Time (or EBT) is your first chance to book your stateroom. We spread them out over several days to provide you with the best possible guest service experience during the booking process.

    I'M BOOKED FOR 2024...

KTBA at Sea Caribbean 2024 booked guests will be given the first chance to book!

This group will be auto-assigned EBTs to book their cabins in the first group of 2025 pre-sale (pending availability). Only 2024 booked guests may book a 2025 cabin until February 27th, when EBTs begin for pre-sale sign-ups.

I'VE SAILED WITH KTBA PREVIOUSLY BUT MISSED OUT ON 2024...

KTBA at Sea Caribbean Alumni who missed 2024 will be allowed to book next.

This group must join the pre-sale by 11:59pm on February 25th, and the booking order is determined by the number of KTBA sailings, number of Sixthman events, most recent year, and then by order of booking for their most recent KTBA reservation. This group will receive their EBT via email on February 26th, and booking times will be as early as February 27th.

NOTE: KTBA at Sea Mediterranean is considered a different event group and alumni status for guests who have sailed in the Mediterranean will vary per person.

I'VE NEVER SAILED ON KTBA AT SEA...

New guests who join the pre-sale are the final group to be included.

This group will be assigned early booking times in the order that they sign up for the pre-sale. You must sign up for the pre-sale by 11:59pm on March 3rd to be included in the first round of the pre-sale and will be emailed information about your early booking time on March 4th (bookings to begin no earlier than March 5th). Note that there will be multiple groups of new guests - those who sign up before the initial deadline and those who sign up afterward. The ones who miss the initial deadline will receive their EBT on March 12th and be able to book as early as March 13th.

NOTE: KTBA at Sea Mediterranean is considered a different event group and alumni status for guests who have sailed in the Mediterranean will vary per person.

Once the pre-sale ends, the general public will be able to book. (March 13th @2pm ET)

Please Note: Being a part of the pre-sale does not guarantee that staterooms will be left for purchase when it’s your time to book.

  • ALL DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.  If you wish to protect your investment, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel protection. We've teamed up with Travel Insured to offer two levels of protection: a standard insurance policy and a 50% Cancel for Any Reason add-on policy.

    • Travel Insured's standard policy will reimburse cancellations at 100% of monies paid for covered cancellation reasons.
    • Travel Insured's Cancel For Any Reason add-on policy will reimburse up to 50% of monies paid when cancelling for any reason not covered by the standard policy when cancelled at least 48 hours prior to sailing.

To review both insurance coverage policy details, please go here. If you have cruise insurance and need to cancel for a covered condition, you can make a claim with Travel Insured to recover any lost payments.

See the Ticketing Contract for full details.

  • Enroll in Automatic Monthly Billing through July 21, 2024 to take advantage of our $100 deposit offer. Remaining monthly payments will be evenly divided. To see exact payments and deposit options, please visit the pricing calculator

The premium for any purchased Travel Protection is also due upon booking.

*Please note that single occupancy staterooms require twice the posted deposit amount

  • Enroll in automatic monthly billing, and relax knowing that your future payments will be made automatically. When you book, we'll calculate an even monthly payment plan and you'll choose the day of the month you want your payments to be processed. It's that easy!

  • When making a decision on your reservation, we know that onboard health and safety is top of mind for you. We are pleased to share recent enhancements to Norwegian Cruise Line's health and safety standards that are extraordinarily robust. Please take a moment to review them here and contact us if you have any questions.

  • Given the worldwide relaxation of global protocols and travel requirements, Norwegian Cruise Line and Sixthman have updated our protocols to further align to those of the broader travel, leisure and hospitality industry, making it easier for guests to return to sea with us. Effective for all sailings as of October 4, 2022, we welcome all guests to sail with us, regardless of vaccination status and age, and with no testing or masking requirements.

Please note that destination specific travel requirements supersede any NCL embarkation protocols. Visit ncl.com/travel-requirements-by-country for more details. There may be additional testing requirements and/or entry forms for certain embarkation ports and/or ports of call along an itinerary. We encourage you to check back as your vacation approaches, as regulations may change, and make sure to complete any necessary forms before leaving home.

For Norwegian Cruise Line’s comprehensive SailSAFE protocols and FAQs, please refer to ncl.com/sail-safe.

  • When booking flights we recommend that you arrive in Miami no later than 12:00pm, or in Ft. Lauderdale no later than 11:00am on March 21. Return flights should be arranged to leave Miami after 12:00pm on March 26, or leave Ft. Lauderdale after 1:00pm.

Please allow additional time for customs clearance for international flights.

  • Norwegian Alcohol Policy

Please note that with the exception of Wine and Champagne, all guests are prohibited from bringing alcohol on board our ships. If you purchase any alcohol at one of our ports-of-call or in our onboard shops, the ship will safely store your purchase(s) until either the final night of the cruise or the morning of debarkation, at which time it will be available for pick up in a designated area.

    Beverage Packages

Guests can pre-purchase beverage packages prior to sailing via their NCL account once reservation numbers are shared (4-6 weeks prior to sailing). You may also choose to purchase on board (on first or second day of sailing). Everything you need to know can be found at bluesaliveatsea.com/beverages.

    Wine & Champagne Policy

Guests may bring bottles of wine and champagne on board. When bottles are brought on board and served or consumed in any restaurant, public room area or in their stateroom, a corkage fee will be charged according to bottle sizes noted below. Please note that for safety reasons there are no glass beverages allowed on the pool deck lawn.

    750 ml Bottle: $15.00 USD
    1,000 ml Bottle: $20.00 USD
    1,500 ml Magnum: $30.00 USD

Wine or champagne sent directly to the ship by travel agents, friends, family, etc. or from another retail source, are subject to the same fees. Box wines are not allowed on board.

To speed up the process of checking your wine or champagne at the port, print out this form and bring it with you.

    Bottle Service

Guests can order items through the Gifts & More program including bottles of liquor that are delivered on board with mixers (not advertised but available if you call) and gourmet treats— outside of 10 days prior to sailing.

Please note there are no glass bottles allowed on the pool deck lawn.

  • Sixthman Usernames

You'll need to sign in with (or create) a Sixthman username to book. If you've traveled with Sixthman previously or signed up for the Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Pre-Sale you have a username. Recover forgotten login credentials here, or contact us or try our live chat for immediate assistance. If you or your traveling companion needs a Sixthman username you can also create one while booking.

    Stateroom Selection

During booking you will select your desired stateroom type and number of guests, so check out the pricing page. You will then choose your stateroom, so also check out the Norwegian Gem’s deck plans.

    Guest Permissions

If you were a Lead Guest on a prior event and are sailing with the same traveling companions, they'll be in a dropdown list for you to add to your stateroom.

If you're sailing with someone who has a Sixthman username but has NOT sailed with you previously, have them sign in to their Sixthman profile and add your username to their Approved Lead Guests list here. They'll then be on the dropdown list for you while booking.

    Naming Guests

You can add your traveling companions later but fees may apply. See more details here. You are obligated for the full cruise fare of the occupancy level you select during the reservation process even if you do not add guests to fill your entire stateroom. If you wish to add guests beyond the capacity of the occupancy level you select during the reservation process you may do so based on availability and for the additional cruise fare associated with the transaction.

    Credit Card Payments

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are all accepted. If you are paying with multiple credit cards, you will need all of the credit card numbers (with expiration date and card verification number) as well as the name and billing address for each card.

  • To let someone add you to their reservation, you'll need to have a Sixthman profile and add your lead guest to your Approved Lead Guests list.

Create a Sixthman profile here, or sign in to your existing profile.

Then, in the Guest Permissions section here, click the Approve A New Lead Guest button and enter your lead guest's username.

You're all set, the lead guest can now add you as a guest in their stateroom. Hooray!

  • Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea is sold in US Dollars and all charges incurred prior to sailing will be charged as USD. Currency conversion shown on the website is for example purposes only. All pre-sailing payments will be processed as USD and non-USD accounts are subject to your bank’s exchange rate at the time of each transaction and are also subject to any foreign transaction fees of your bank.

All onboard charges will be listed and charged in US Dollars and non-USD accounts are subject to your bank’s exchange rate at the time of each transaction and are also subject to any foreign transaction fees of your bank.

  • Norwegian will make every effort to accommodate you, providing you have not entered the 24th week of pregnancy when the cruise ends. Please include your cruise details in an email to the Access Desk or accessdesk@ncl.com with a medical certificate establishing your due date prior to the cruise.

Infants under six months of age are not eligible for travel on Norwegian ships.

What is the process for bringing and storing breast milk on board? After you have received your Norwegian Cruise Line reservation number (approximately 4-6 weeks prior to sailing) please reach out to the Access Desk and they will make note on your boarding pass to allow you to bring breast milk through security upon embarkation. For storing breast milk on board, you can request to have your mini-fridge emptied out in advance with the Access Desk or with your cabin steward on board. For cabins without a mini-fridge, you can request for breast milk to be stored by your cabin steward on board or for an ice bucket to be provided for the room.

What are my breast feeding options while in port? While there are no designated breastfeeding areas while in port, please see a staff member for recommendations. Additionally, all guests are able to easily exit and board the ship at their leisure to access cabins while we are docked in port.

  • A fixed service charge will be added to your onboard spending account in the amount of $20.00* per person per day for Interiors, Ocean Views, Balconies, and Club Balcony Suites and $25.00* per person per day for Suites.

The reason there's a fixed service charge is an important one: the ship crew is encouraged to work together as a team. Staff members including restaurant staff, stateroom stewards and behind-the-scenes support staff are compensated by a combination of salary and incentive programs that your service charge supports.

Additionally, a 20% auto-service charge will be applied for some other onboard services and experiences. These include, but are not limited to, beverage purchases (alcohol and non-alcoholic as well as ALL beverage packages), specialty dining packages, alcohol tastings, and spa and salon services.

While you are welcome to extend additional gratuities at your discretion, these minimum service charges are agreed to be paid by you upon booking your stateroom. Should your concerns not be met with satisfaction you can adjust the charges.

    *Prices subject to change.

  • Prior to 30 days before sailing (February 19, 2025), any newly available staterooms will be released weekly on Fridays. At 11am ET on Fridays First Available staterooms will become available to anyone with an Earliest Booking Time (EBT) for the event. At 1pm ET, any staterooms remaining available become available to the general public. Stateroom availability depends on how many First Available Staterooms have been assigned that week; some weeks there may be no new staterooms available, while other weeks there may be several new staterooms available.

Beginning 30 days prior to sailing (February 19, 2025), any newly available cabins will be released daily at 1pm ET.

Sign up for our email newsletter and text updates to stay informed of event updates. Once we have fulfilled all committed First Available bookings to a stateroom, all periodically released staterooms will be available on a first come, first served basis.

  • Our goal is to accommodate 99% of our First Available bookings.

If we are unable to assign you to a stateroom by 30 days prior to sailing (February 19, 2025), you earn a $1,000 future Sixthman event credit and have two options:

    • You can notify us to process your full refund plus receive a $1,000 future Sixthman event credit (valid for 3 years). Any purchased travel protection would be included in the refund.
    • If you are willing to accept a stateroom less than 30 days prior to the festival, we can continue to try to find a stateroom for you. When we place you in a stateroom, your $1,000 future Sixthman event credit will be automatically applied to your booking. If we are unable to place you in a stateroom before sailing we will automatically process your full refund and issue your $1,000 future Sixthman event credit (valid for 3 years).

Additionally, anyone we aren't able to assign to a stateroom will be prioritized for next year's pre-sale (registration required) and will be assigned a booking time after guests who sail but before prior year alumni (if any) and before new guests.

Please note: we recommend booking refundable travel (airfare, hotels, etc.) in the event you are unable to sail - Sixthman does not provide refunds for external purchases.

  • Pending availability, you may book a First Available Interior, First Available Oceanview or First Available Balcony stateroom.

  • We utilize historical cancellation data from all our festivals to predict how many staterooms will become available prior to sailing. Life happens and sometimes our guests have to cancel. Plus, while we never intentionally hold staterooms back to release later, sometimes we need fewer staterooms for production/talent/staff than originally planned, allowing us to offer those to guests.

  • First Available Staterooms are set to the maximum price for a room of that stateroom type. You will be placed in the first available stateroom that matches the category you booked. Should your assigned stateroom be priced lower than the First Available price, you will be refunded the difference. You will ultimately only pay the price of the stateroom you are assigned.

  • You will be assigned to a specific stateroom by 30 days prior to the festival’s embarkation date (February 19, 2025) or be eligible for a $1,000 future Sixthman event credit.

  • All guests receive reservation numbers approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the festival’s embarkation date. Should you be placed into a specific stateroom after this time frame, you can anticipate receiving your reservation number approximately 10 days after your stateroom is assigned.

  • All reservations, including First Available reservations, are non-refundable. Please review our cancellation policy. If you are unsure about your ability to attend the festival, we recommend you delay booking a first available stateroom until you are certain you can attend.

  • Sixthman does not provide refunds for external purchases, therefore we recommend you book refundable travel. Please read our “What is the First Available guarantee” FAQ for further details.

  • All standard payment options will be available to First Available Staterooms bookings. Review our payment options here.

  • Your Sixthman Future Event Credit will expire three years from the date of issue.

  • If any Suites become available, they will be offered to booked guests through our desired upgrade list. Once you are booked in a stateroom, you may contact us to join the desired upgrade list to be notified if a Suite becomes available. This means you may book a First Available Balcony stateroom and request to be on the desired upgrade list; in this case you may be automatically placed in a Balcony stateroom or offered a Suite (which, if you decline, will keep you in line for a Balcony stateroom assignment).

  • First Available Staterooms are true stateroom bookings and as such are prioritized over the desired upgrade list. Once all First Available Staterooms have been placed, we will accommodate as many people from the Desired Upgrade List as possible. Note that Club Balcony Suites and Suites are not offered in First Available so any staterooms openings for those types are offered out via the Desired Upgrade List before being released for sale.

  • No. You will be automatically assigned into the next available stateroom that matches the room type that you purchased.

  • Should you wish to transfer your reservation to another festival, you would follow the standard transfer guidelines in place for the festival you are currently booked on.

Hooray!

This is a summary only containing highlights of the plan.  Download an Insurance PDF for complete terms, conditions and exclusions that apply.  Please Note: Residents of Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Texas and Washington have separate Certificates of Insurance in compliance with state requirements.

We know you might have questions about what is and is not covered so we encourage you to read the Insurance PDF or call Travel Insured at 1-866-684-0218 and specify you are calling about Sixthman Travel Protection.

  • Everyone needs a Sixthman profile to create, manage, or be added to a reservation. Create your Sixthman profile.

If you have traveled with Sixthman previously or signed up for the Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea Pre-Sale, you have a profile and will not need to create one. If you don't know your username, you can recover it here. You can also contact us and we will be happy to look it up for you (try our live chat feature or call us at 877-379-9170).

Use your Sixthman profile to sign in throughout the year to update your personal information, make payments, add traveling companions, or make changes to your reservation. To manage your reservation, sign in here.

  • Enroll in Automatic Monthly Billing and customize your own payment schedule! See the details.

If you decide not to do automatic monthly billing, this manual payment plan allows guests to make installment payments on their cruise over time. The date that you place your reservation will dictate your deposit amount, after which you would be required to make any future payments according to the schedule. To make a payment on an existing reservation, please sign in to your account.

    Payment Schedule

    • 25% is due at the time of reservation
    • Another 25% is due on June 28th, 2024
    • Another 25% is due on August 28th, 2024
    • Remaining 100% is due on October 28th, 2024

Single occupancy staterooms require twice the above amounts.

Past due payments are subject to a $35 late fee. See the Terms and Conditions for full details.

  • Guests traveling by themselves in their own stateroom are responsible for the double-occupancy rate of the stateroom (the double rate times two). Single occupancy staterooms will be charged Taxes and Fees for only one guest, and will receive a discount of $199.00 off the second cruise fare.

  • To make a payment, booked guests can sign in to their Sixthman account and click 'Make a Payment' next to their reservation. Any named guest on a reservation can submit an online payment.

Payments can also be made via phone by calling Sixthman at 877-379-9170.

  • You may purchase travel protection while placing your reservation online or by calling Sixthman Guest Services at 1-877-379-9170 after your reservation has been placed. Insurance is sold per person and based of the amount you'd like covered (minimum coverage is the per person cost of the cabin plus all taxes and fees). You may also call Sixthman to request additional coverage for other non-cruise travel, such as airfare and deposits on ground or hotel.

For a complete list of rates and coverage details please visit www.sixthman.net/protection. Please note that the CFAR benefit (CANCEL FOR ANY REASON) is in addition to the standard policy and allows a refund of up to 50% of the non-refundable Trip Cost for reservations that are canceled without a covered reason up until 48 hours prior to sailing. This benefit must be purchased within 21 days of trip purchase.

  • The Lead Guest on the reservation is responsible for making sure minimum payments are met. However, each guest can sign in (or call in) individually to make their own payment for their share of the cabin with their own credit card information.

When making the reservation, the Lead Guest can pay for only their portion of the minimum initial deposit, but the reservation must be brought current within 72 hours. Within this time frame, other guests can make their initial payments. The Lead Guest is responsible for making sure the reservation is current within 72 hours or will risk cancellation.

  • Only Lead Guests can request to change or remove existing guests, or to upgrade to a higher-priced category.  Downgrading your cabin to a cabin of lesser value is not allowed. The Lead Guest must request these changes by phone or email.

Because the Lead Guest owns the reservation, any changes to this guest are subject to a Lead Guest change fee of $299. No lead guest changes or transfers are permitted during the pre-sale or after October 28, 2024.  Lead Guest changes are also not permitted after an event sells out, except to guests who were named in the reservation prior to the sell out.  Permitted changes incur a $299 Lead Guest change fee.

ALL names must be received by October 28, 2024.  Each reservation is allowed one free name change prior to October 28, 2024.  Additional changes prior to that date are subject to a $50 administrative fee per change.

Any changes, including adding unnamed guests made after October 28, 2024, but more than one week before the cruise are $75 per change. Any changes, including adding unnamed guests made within a week of the cruise are $100 per change.

  • If you're the lead guest with an existing reservation you can add a guest online. First, your guest needs a Sixthman username, and needs to give you permission to add them to your stateroom.

    Step 1

Provide your guest with your Sixthman username, and have them create a Sixthman profile here, or sign in to their existing profile. In the Guest Permissions section have them add you to their Approved Lead Guests list.

    Step 2

Once they're done, you can sign in to your profile and they'll appear in Your Authorized Guests list. Now, go to your current reservation and add them in the Personal Information section.

  • One week after missing a scheduled payment date, a late fee of $35 is added to the reservation.

Three weeks after missing a scheduled payment date, a final notice of impending cancellation is sent, and the reservation may be cancelled by Sixthman within 7 days.

If you are unable to make a payment as scheduled, please contact Sixthman PRIOR to the payment due date.  In extreme circumstances, alternate payment schedules may be arranged.  Alternate payment schedules are solely at the discretion of Sixthman.  Defaulting on alternate payment arrangements will result in immediate cancellation of your reservation.

  • Looking for the perfect gift? Visit sixthman.net/giftcard to give the gift of Sixthman to your friends and family for birthdays, holidays, or for no reason at all!  Purchase a Sixthman Digital Gift Card and enable your recipient to LIVE LOUD on the music vacation of their dreams.

Gift cards must be redeemed at least 14 days prior to sailing and cannot be redeemed on board.  Be sure to read the FAQs and the terms and conditions at sixthman.net/giftcard for full details!

Note that Norwegian branded gift cards are not able to be used for payment on a Sixthman reservation.  You can, however, redeem them on board.

Bottle Service

Guests can order items through the Gifts & More program including bottles of liquor that are delivered on board with mixers (not advertised but available if you call) and gourmet treats— outside of 10 days prior to sailing.

Please note there are no glass bottles allowed on the pool deck lawn.

  • We realize that your vacation begins the moment you book your cabins and we wish we could look after your entire journey.  However, the only part of your trip we can truly impact is the part that happens when you step on the ship.  In years past, we have tried to manage the experience you have with hotels, airlines, rental cars, shuttles and we just can’t get them to care like we do. We will see you on the ship and put our energy into making it the greatest vacation you have ever had!

  • For directions check out our Port page.

  • At the port you will hand over any luggage you wish to check to the porters, and your bags will be delivered directly to your cabin.  DON'T PACK YOUR DOCUMENTATION, MEDICATION OR OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS IN ANY BAG YOU PLAN TO CHECK, AS BAGS MAY TAKE UNTIL 8PM TO ARRIVE TO YOUR CABINS.

Each piece of checked luggage must have a luggage tag listing your name, ship and cabin number. Luggage tags can be printed prior to the cruise during registration for e-documents and additional tags may be obtained at port from the curbside porters. *Please note that curbside porters are not employees of Norwegian and it’s customary to tip them $1 per bag

DO NOT PACK YOUR PASSPORT, TRAVEL DOCUMENTS OR ALCOHOL IN YOUR CHECKED BAG.

  • Remember, at time of booking, you acknowledged that the laws that regulate the necessary travel documentation are subject to change and that it is your responsibility to be aware of what is required for travel.

View the latest information from Norwegian at ncl.com/traveldocs.  Below are recommendations based on the current U.S. government policy. This information could be updated without notice.

Please note that the name on your ticket must match the name on your passport or you will need to provide an original copy of proof of change of name (marriage license, etc).

    U.S. Citizens

Sixthman highly recommends all guests travel with a passport valid for at least six months beyond completion of travel. Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens taking cruises that begin & end in the same U.S. port, traveling with a passport enhances your disembarkation experience, as delays may be expected upon your return to the U.S. if you do not have one. Additionally, passports make it easier for you to fly from the U.S. to a foreign port should you miss your scheduled port of embarkation, or need to fly back to the U.S. for emergency reasons. If you do not have a passport you can use an original or state certified copy of a Birth Certificate as listed below.

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) allows U.S. citizens (including children) sailing on cruises that begin and end in the same U.S. port to travel with one of the following WHTI compliant document:

    • Valid U.S. Passport
    • Passport Card
    • Enhanced Driver's License (EDL)
    • Original or state certified copy of a Birth Certificate PLUS a government-issued photo ID*
    • Certificate of Naturalization PLUS a government-issued photo ID*

*A government-issued photo ID is also required for all guests, including children 16 and over. For more information, a complete list of WHTI-compliant documents or to obtain a passport application, visit travel.state.gov.

For more information or to obtain a passport application, visit travel.state.gov

    Non-U.S. Citizens

All guests must carry a valid passport, and if necessary, a multiple entry visa is required for entry into the United States (i.e. B-2 Visitors Visa), or a visa waiver. Please be sure to check with the proper agencies and authorities (such as your local immigration office) before you sail because we can't board you without the proper documents. Travelers from the 38 Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries* must have a machine-readable passport to enter the U.S. without a visa. All VWP travelers are required to obtain an electronic travel authorization prior to boarding a carrier to travel by air or sea to the U.S. under the VWP.

*ANDORRA, AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, BRUNEI, CHILE, CZECH REPUBLIC, DENMARK, ESTONIA, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREECE, HUNGARY, ICELAND, IRELAND, ITALY, JAPAN, LATVIA, LIECHTENSTEIN, LITHUANIA, LUXEMBOURG, MALTA, MONACO, NETHERLANDS, NEW ZEALAND, NORWAY, PORTUGAL, REP. OF KOREA , SAN MARINO, SINGAPORE, SLOVAKIA, SLOVENIA, SPAIN, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, TAIWAN and UNITED KINGDOM.

If you are not a US Citizen and are uncertain that you have the correct documentation please call US Immigrations at 1-800-375-5283 to be sure your identification will be satisfactory.

Alien Residents of the United States holding an Alien Registration Card (ARC or "Green Card") (Form I-551) may travel to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda (see Visa Restrictions on Bermuda) and the Caribbean with just their valid ARC and Proof of Identity. However, it is recommended that these guests also carry their passports from their country of citizenship if available. In some instances, ARC holders may still be required to have sailing permits and/or visas to enter countries Norwegian Cruise Line visits in these areas. Please note that travel anywhere else in the world requires a valid passport from the country you are a citizen of and subsequently subjects you to any documentation, visa and health requirements of all countries visited.

What if I do not have proper identification?

There is no Jedi Mind Trick around this, you MUST have proper identification to be permitted to board the ship. If you arrive at port without proper identification, while Sixthman will assist you in contacting the appropriate agencies, we cannot guarantee that you can successfully attain proper identification from the port, and this may result in being denied boarding without compensation. And this makes us sad.

    Birth Certificates

    These are OK

State certified, U.S. Birth Certificates only, most of which say 'Certified Copy.' Photo copies are not valid. Color, size, layout and flowery-but-official-looking-border on certificate may vary from state to state.

    These are NOT OK

Do not bring your hospital certificate. If it says 'this is not a legal document.' Then it's not a legal document. We like you but we don't want to see your feet.

Cruise Norwegian includes an industry first “Pre-Cruise” mode which allows you to pre-book your dining reservations & shore excursions, and view your vacation itinerary and summary, all before you ever step foot on a Norwegian ship. Once you get on board, all of your reservations, bookings, and favorites are seamlessly transferred to the ship, where you can use the communications feature to chat and message* with other guests on board, view your account and onboard purchases, and so much more! For more info, visit Norwegian's Mobile Apps page.

Safety and security are everyone’s responsibility. Should anyone become aware of unsafe or possibly illegal behavior during their cruise, they should immediately report this to the ship’s Security Staff or other ship management. This may be done through ship’s telephone system by dialing 911 or by seeking the assistance of a crew member.

    GUEST CONDUCT

    GUEST AND CREW INTERACTION
Our crew members are friendly, outgoing and helpful, and they will do their very best to make your vacation as enjoyable as possible. Please do not misinterpret their friendliness. Crew members are prohibited from engaging in physical relationships with guests. Crew members are not permitted to socialize with guests beyond their professional duties, and are not permitted to be in guest staterooms, except for the performance of their shipboard duties. Guests are expected to respect these policies and are similarly prohibited from engaging in physical relationships with crew members. Guests are not permitted in any restricted or crew area of the ship, including crew staterooms and corridors.

    VERBALLY ABUSIVE OR OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE
Verbally abusive or offensive language directed toward anyone, to include guests, crew members, governmental officials, or others is not permitted.

    INAPPROPRIATE OR ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR
Inappropriate or abusive behavior including uninvited physical contact, solicitation, harassment, vandalism, theft, violence, use of fake/false identification, underage drinking (see alcohol section below), providing alcohol to those under the allowed age (see alcohol section below), possession of illegal substances/items or any other illegal or offensive conduct is not permitted.

    UNSAFE BEHAVIOR
Sitting, standing, laying or climbing on, over or across any exterior or interior railings or other protective barriers, or tampering with ship’s equipment, facilities or systems designed for guest safety is not permitted. Guests may not enter or access any area that is restricted and/or for the use of crew members. Any other unsafe behavior, including failure to follow security instructions, is not permitted.

    DISCOURTEOUS OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR
Pool, deck and theater chairs may not be reserved. Topless sunbathing is not permitted. Boom boxes or loud radios are not permitted. Roller blades, roller skates, skateboards, hoverboards, scooters, surfboards, bicycles, and similar items may not be utilized on-board; except for mobility aids related to special needs, as approved by the ship’s management.

    SMOKING
As the health and well-being of our guests and crew is of the utmost importance, Norwegian Cruise Line instituted changes to its smoking policy for all sailings after November 1, 2014. The specific changes prohibit smoking on stateroom balconies and limit smoking in the casino to players. On Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Breakaway, smoking on The Waterfront will be permitted on the starboard side, except by the outdoor dining areas. Public areas throughout all our ships are smoke-free. If you smoke regular or electronic cigarettes, you can do so in designated areas only. For more information on our smoking policy please go here.

    CURFEWS
Ship’s management reserves the right to enact and enforce curfews on an individual, group, or ship-wide basis, if in the sole judgment of the ship’s Captain, such steps become necessary to ensure guest or crew safety. Children under the age of 17 are not allowed unaccompanied by an adult after 1:00 am.

    DISEMBARKING FROM A SHIP
Parents or guardians must not permit any guest in their care under age 18 from leaving a ship in any port without responsible adult supervision.

PARENTAL AND GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITY For purposes of this Guest Conduct Policy, a minor is defined as anyone under the age of 18. A young adult is defined as anyone ages 18, 19 or 20. Parents and guardians are responsible for the behavior and appropriate supervision of their accompanying minor(s) and young adult(s) throughout their vacation. This obligation applies during transfers to and from ships, inside terminals, while onboard, at our ports of call, during shore excursions and at our private destinations. This responsibility applies at all times, regardless of whether the parents and guardians are physically in the company of their minor(s) and young adult(s).

    ALCOHOL
Norwegian Cruise Line guests are expected to be responsible for their actions at all times, including during transfers to and from ships, inside terminals, while onboard, at our ports of call, during shore excursions and at our private destinations. Consuming alcohol to excess impairs one’s judgment and reduces one’s ability to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations. Guests who choose to consume alcohol must do so responsibly. The ship’s staff may refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to any guest who does not consume alcohol responsibly. Ship’s personnel may request verification of a guest’s age to verify they are of age to consume alcohol pursuant to this policy. Any guest that violates this alcohol policy, will be considered for disciplinary action pursuant to the “Consequences Section” of this Guest Conduct Policy, and may lose their privileges to use the disco or other areas or facilities of the ship or maybe required to disembark the vessel.

Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic (except wine & a corkage fee will be charged) beverages onboard and Security reserves the right to inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage, etc.) at any time. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased from onboard shops or in ports-of-call (which must be presented to security upon re-boarding), will be held until the last night of the cruise. The Freestyle Daily will list the location and time for pick up. Guests who are under the permitted drinking age will not have alcohol returned to them.

The minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages on Norwegian Cruise Line ships is 21. Guests who are 18 - 20 years of age can purchase and consume beer or wine when the ship is in international waters (3 miles out of US territorial waters). The age modification does not apply for Alaska and Hawaii sailings. The parent or legal guardian must be onboard the sailing with the young adult and present themselves at the Front Desk so they can sign the form allowing the consumption of beer and wine only. A notarized Parent Consent Form or any other document allowing for temporary guardianship for the purposes of the sailing only will not be accepted.

For purposes of complying with the minimum drinking age requirements, a guest’s age is established upon embarkation (beginning of the cruise). If a guest celebrates their birthday during the cruise, and thereby becomes of age to consume alcohol, the guest may thereafter ask the Guest Services Manager to modify ship’s records to permit their consumption of alcohol during the remainder of the cruise. The guest will be required to appear at Guest Services to present a government issued form of identification to permit verification of their age.

On cruises embarking in a country where the legal drinking age is lower than 21 and where a young adult (age 18, 19 or 20) is not traveling with a parent or legal guardian, they will generally not be permitted to consume alcohol. There may be exceptions made to this restriction in areas of the world where local laws require and Norwegian Cruise Line concurs. Details on such exceptions can be obtained from the Guest Services Desk. No guest under age 18 may possess or consume alcohol at any time, while onboard or at our private destinations. No guest under age 21 may possess or consume alcohol at our private destinations. Any guest who goes ashore and consumes alcohol (whether under the supervision of a parent/guardian or not) is responsible for ensuring they consume responsibly and retain their ability to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations when they return to the ship. Parents/guardians are reminded they are responsible for the actions of their child/young adult at all times while on a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise.

Guests who violate any alcohol policy, including but not limited to underage drinking; providing alcohol to minors or young adults; possessing, concealing or attempting to conceal alcoholic items in their luggage, when boarding, or while on board; engaging in alcohol drinking games; or failing to consume alcohol responsibly, will be considered for discipline under the provisions of this policy.

    PROHIBITED ITEMS

For the most up-to-date list, please check Norwegian's website.

    SYMBOLS OF HATE

We stand against racism, hate and associated symbols and the display of such items, including but not limited to the confederate battle flag.

    DRONES (Game Flying Device)
Guests are not permitted to bring drones on board for safety of other guests, as well as the welfare of the vessel.

ITEMS WITH HEATING ELEMENTS OR OPEN FLAMES
Certain items that generate heat or produce an open flame are not permitted onboard. This includes clothing irons, hotplates, candles, incense and any other item that may create a fire hazard. Curling irons and hair dryers are allowed and may require a converter.

    DRUGS OR OTHER ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES
No illegal drugs or other illegal substances including but not limited to medical marijuana are allowed onboard or may be utilized during a Norwegian Cruise Line vacation, including during transfers to and from ships, inside terminals, during shore excursions or at our private island. Illegal drugs or substances will be confiscated and appropriate action taken, which may include removal from the ship and involvement of appropriate authorities. In addition, foreign governments at Norwegian Cruise Line ports of call have strict laws that address drug possession. Guests found in violation of such laws are subject to arrest and prosecution by the foreign jurisdiction (and perhaps United States or other authorities as well) and may be prevented from re-boarding the ship.

WEAPONS, EXPLOSIVES OR OTHER DANGEROUS ITEMS
No weapon, explosive, or other item that presents a risk of harm to persons or property, are permitted onboard. They will be taken by ship’s Security and appropriate action taken. Guests are not allowed to bring their own scuba gears onboard such as oxygen tanks, diving knives, spears, etc.

    HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT

    HAND WASHING
Guests are strongly encouraged to wash their hands with soap and hot water after using the restroom and before eating or handling food. Medical experts say this is one of the best ways to prevent illnesses from starting or spreading.

    ILLNESSES AND ISOLATION OF GUESTS
Norwegian Cruise Line follows practices and maintains policies that seek to prevent illnesses from affecting our guests. One of the best ways to prevent the spread of contagious illnesses like gastrointestinal viruses, colds and flu is to wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and hot water after using the restroom and again before eating anything. In the event you experience symptoms that indicate a gastrointestinal illness, such as diarrhea or vomiting, or know of someone experiencing these symptoms, you must advise the medical staff immediately. In addition, some gastrointestinal illnesses remain contagious up to 72 hours or more after symptoms subside; therefore, if you or someone you know experienced such an illness just prior to your cruise, you must immediately notify the ship’s medical staff. This will permit the crew to take steps to reduce the chance that your illness will spread to others on the ship. Failure to immediately report a contagious illness to the ship’s medical staff, or to accurately describe its onset, greatly increases the likelihood the illness will spread to others and is a violation of this Guest Conduct Policy. In the event of a contagious illness, the ship’s crew will take steps to curtail its spread to other guests, including if necessary, steps set forth in the Consequences Section on next page.

    CONSEQUENCES

FAILURE TO ACT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS POLICY MAY RESULT IN:

    • Intervention by Security, other management personnel or law enforcement
    • Removal of certain onboard privileges, which may include being detained, quarantined or confinement
    • Confiscation of illegal/contraband/prohibited items (may be turned over to law enforcement authorities) and used for prosecution
    • Denial of boarding on the current or any future Norwegian Cruise Line cruise vacation
    • Reporting of incidents to government and law enforcement authorities for follow-on legal action
    • Removal from ship at the next port-of-call. Guests removed from a Norwegian Cruise Line ship pursuant to this policy, are responsible. Documentation requirements for re-entry into the guest’s home country are also the responsibility of the guest.

Guests are not permitted to smoke cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars or pipes in their staterooms or on their balconies.  Smoking inside your stateroom or on your balcony will result in a $250 USD cleaning charge added to your onboard account. If cigarette burns on furniture, linens, towels or carpeting are detected; guests will be advised and charged for the damages.

Electronic cigarettes cannot be used in public areas where there is a No Smoking policy in force; simply because these cigarettes look so realistic and therefore other guests' perception is that we are not enforcing the No Smoking rule.
